Rio out of World Cup

Everyone has seen by now that Rio Ferdinand, England Captain, will miss the World Cup after suffering ligament damage during the teams first training session. Michael Dawson has flown to South Africa to replace the injured Man United skipper. The Wembley pitch has denied it was involved in the injury with Capello confirming it was the Emile Heskey (I did say he shouldn't have been there!)
In similar news, Didier Drogba looks set to miss the World Cup after suffering a broken arm in a friendly against Japan on friday (some reports say he broke it after a challenge where the defender was a good 5-10 yards away). He had a 'successful' operation on the arm today but his World Cup participation looks in doubt
