Day 7 Highlights 17/6

Argentina stroll past South Korea
Real Madrid striker Gonzalo Higuain scored a hattrick as Argentina beat South Korea 4-1 to book their place in the next round of the tournament. An own goal by Park Chu-Young (whats he like!) gave Maradona's side the lead and Higuain scored a poacher's hattrick with a second goal after Messi hit the post and a third after a beautiful cross from Aguero

France on verge of elimination
Ireland fans had a big smile on their faces last night as France were embaressed by Mexico in a 2-0 defeat which leaves them needing a win and other results to go their way in order to progress. Relationships between manager Raymond Domenech and players have been criticised and this seemed evident with Domenech seeming disinterested during the whole match and French subs standing behind the goal in order to not be brought on. Hernandez gave Mexico the lead when he was put through and Blanco sealed the win with a penalty after skipping past Evra

Nigeria throw it away
Nigeria are facing elimination after throwing away victory against Greece. They took the lead when Uche's free kick missed everyone and went in however Kaita got himself sent off for kicking Torosidis (moron) and the game changed. Greece scored before half time and got the winner thanks to Torosidis (who Kaita kicked! oh the irony) with 20 mins left...to see the most exciting minute of football and worst miss of the World Cup so far, go to 1.18minutes on the highlights http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/world_cup_2010/matches/match_19
