Day 3 Highlights 13/6

Slovenia top Group C after keeper blunder
Not a very exciting day of football started with possibly the most boring game of all time between Algeria and Slovenia. The other game in England's group had one vaguely exciting moment when Robert Koren gave Slovenia the lead thanks to an awful piece of keeper by the Algeria keeper. Zidane watched on as his home country went down to 10 men when Ghezzal was sent off after just 15 minutes on the pitch
Verdict: Algeria are out, we have nothing to worry about
Ghana make steps to qualify
Ghana looked good for their 1-0 win over Serbia and will be looking to claim second place in the group with Germany expected to win Group B. Michael Essien is out for the whole tournament but the four time African Champions created chances before Asamoah Cyan's penalty sealed a win after Kuzmanovic handled in the area.
Germans convincing win over Aussies
As nice as it was to see the Australians get thrashed, seeing Germany walk to an effortless 4-0 win is never a pleasing site. The Germans could have had more and faced little trouble from an Australian side who were ruduced to 10 men when Tim Cahill was given a (harsh) straight red card. Cahill seemed to clumsily trip up Schweinsteiger with his knees but was given his marching orders...

I'd rather listen to Andy Townsend than German Commentary!
