Day 2 Highlights 12/6

USA get rub of the green

Sorry Fabio but if you want the in form keeper...pick Hart. If you want the most experienced keeper...pick James. Don't go down the middle and pick bloody Robert Green! Crouch has to start ahead of Heskey (his one-on-one shot at the end couldn't have been closer to Howard's chest if he tried) and why the fuck is Shaun Wright 'Dead End' Phillips the first substitute on?
On a more positive note, USA are not a bad side and we created chances. Besides Green's attempt to beat off Seaman (Brazil '02) and Carson (Croatia '08) to 'The Biggest Cock-up by an English keeper' award, there weren't any other glaring errors just certain players who need to raise their game. We should beat Slovenia and Algeria (who based on the match between them today are both utter shite) and then progress through the group stages.
Quote of the Day: 'You can't blame the goalkeeper' Stephen Gerrard. Yes you can!
Interesting stat: 1966, 1st group match, England 0-0 Uraguay...the rest is history

Argentina lack killer instinct
Argentina vs Nigeria was one of the better games of the tournament so far. Pretty end to end stuff with a brilliant header by Heinz Beans and some moments when Nigeria actually looked like they might nick an equaliser. Unfortunately Argentina hung on for the win and you can't see them facing any greater threat in a very easy group. South Korea also played Greece in a game that was more boring than hearing the views of Marcel Desailly, Andy Townsend and Edgar Davids (cheers ITV!).

Maradona's Promise
Diego Maradona has vowed to strip naked if Argentina win the World Cup. He told reports 'I'll get naked and run around the city's obelisk'. This has to be another reason why everyone should support whoever are playing Argentina. The cheat's training session are nearly as odd as him...in this one, the losing team has to bend over and have football fired at their arses
